Honey Haus Kitchen

The original kitchen was tiny - cut in half with one small room for cooking and another small room for a custom hutch and breakfast nook. We decided to take down the wall in between the rooms. The result is amazing, with so much light and many new feet of counter space. Revealing the ceiling in its entirety feels expansive. I married the floors between the rooms with a brass strip, which is a nice accent, but also shows the history of the space. I was able to disassemble the custom-built 100-year-old hutch and reassemble it against the opposite wall with a few additions and adjustments. The addition of a chandelier highlights the room’s spacious new silhouette.
